I just learned of the passing of my good friend, Leon. We grew up together since 1952 when we were 8 years old up on 17th South and 25th East. He always made an effort to remain in contact over these many years and I will miss his friendship and quiet manner. | |

It became the center stage for family, friends and many treasured memories. With the mountains in their backyard, the Firth children spent their summers hiking and horseback riding in the mountains with Tanya as their leader, motivator and protector. Tanya was so very energetic, she had to keep busy. Peggy saw that she danced in the Nutcracker Suite, swam competitively, became an AAU diving champion, led her siblings in the 4th of July Parade on horseback, took sewing lessons, played the piano, learned to knit beautiful sweaters, ice skated at Hygeia Ice Rink and skied at Alta Ski Resort. Tanya attended Highland High School, "Hail Highland High, and the school that we will always cheer. . ." and graduated from the University of Utah with a double major in English and Paleontology, where she pledged with the Pi Phi Sorority, just like her mother. Her first job was at the Saltair Beach Resort, her last job was with Bob Welti Advertising. She married Bruce Jay Zenger on March 19th, 1969. They were active members of the Cottonwood Country Club, where she entertained and played tennis. With her husband, she spent most of her adult life traveling the world. Tanya loved her home in Holladay, she decorated it beautifully and spent countless hours in her yard. She and Bruce entertained family, friends and guests frequently. She was an avid gardener and volunteered her time to care for a section of Red Butte Gardens at the University of Utah. Tanya was a member of the .
